ELEMENTARY & MIDDLE SCHOOL ART EXHIBIT
"FROM OUR HEARTS TO OUR HANDS"
One of our most popular annual exhibits features the students in grades K-8 from the Beaver Dam Elementary and Middle schools.
Nearly three hundred students, family and friends attended the exhibit in 2017, viewing over two hundred pieces of artwork throughout our eight rooms. Certificates were given to all art students displaying work.
The talent is enormous in these little artists; as adults we can learn a lot from their uninhibited spirits. While art is important to study for the intrinsic value, it also promotes skills seen as important in academic and life success, including: creativity, confidence, problem solving, perseverance, non-verbal communication, receiving constructive criticism, collaboration, dedication, and focus. These skills are evident in the multiple mediums showcased in this exhibit, covering traditional art forms such as painting and drawing, to newer mediums like digital photography and ipad drawings.
We hope that you'll view this exhibit to express support for the students and art educators and help emphasize the importance of quality art programs in schools.
Open Wednesday-Sunday from 1-4pm beginning May 4th.
