CONSTRUCTED LANDSCAPE: Multi-media Sculpture
Sunday 12:00-1:30 pm
Create a mini “constructed landscape” with materials provided, and take lots of photos, producing a unique world of your own! Inspired by PBS Studio’s “The Art Assignment,” explore the boundaries between the natural and unnatural.
Ages: High school-adults

Clay Relief

Join Ceramist, Justin Behm to create a custom wall hanging relief. You will explore combining two bodies of clay as well as basic hand building techniques to create interesting textures and patterns. Subject matter can include: animals, abstract, nature and organic compositions. All materials provided.

Photography Basics for Kids

Digital phone photography and editing basics. Kelly Warns will go through the basics of photo taking and composition through hands on experience and will continue the process of editing photos in their device and on editing software.

Painting the Masters: Jackson Pollack

Beginning painters, aged 10- 14 are invited to work with Kelly to learn about the Painter Jackson Pollack. We learn what inspired him and create a masterpiece in his style.

Beginner Bears

The handiwork of our grandmothers spread love and well-being across generations. Tami Joe will assist you in cutting the pieces of a traditional teddy bear from your scraps or ours. Together, we will learn to hand stitch the pieces in the first session. The second session will focus on assembly so there will be some homework required!

Painting with the Masters :Van Gogh

Beginning painters, aged 10- 14 are invited to work with Kelly to learn about the painter Vincent Van Gogh. We learn what inspired him and how to control our brush stroke and how to achieve his specific painting style.

Beginner/Intermediate Painting

Come and enjoy 3 hours of painting fun with instructor, Gael Riverz. Gael Has been an oil painting instructor for many years at UW-Waukesha. Oil or acrylic are welcome, bring your paints and canvas. A still life will be available or bring a photo, for reference. Beginner or intermediates are welcome.
